Today I would like to bring 3 things to the table … call it updates from Intentional Wealth. 😊
Number 1: This is portfolio rebalancing season for us here at Intentional Wealth. What this means is that annually we reevaluate each and every holding that we have in our portfolios, and we compare them to other alternatives in that asset class. We do this for multiple reasons, but none more important than to ensure that your portfolio targets are achieved.
As time progresses some asset classes do better than others. It’s not always summer for every asset class. When some asset classes suffer that oftentimes provides attractive buying opportunities. Alternatively, when some asset classes outperform, it may provide an opportunity to “sell high” and redeploy some of the dollars into asset classes that maybe have underperformed (“buying low”). Our portfolio rebalancing seeks to make sure we have your pie chart at an optimal level for your goals.
When we initiate the trades for these portfolio rebalances there will be a number of sells and buys within your portfolio. If you get alerts from your Fidelity app you will see lots of notifications. The following day your email inbox will be full of notifications as well. There is nothing you need to do, it’s all just part of the process. As always, glad to provide further information.
The majority of these transactions will occur in the months of April and May.
Number 2: I am constantly joining webinars, attending seminars, taking phone calls, and meeting with industry professionals to learn about market conditions and the best strategies. I do this so you don’t have to. 😊 I love it, I’d imagine it would not be as much fun for you. 😉 Most of these are quite technical and are geared towards financial planners so the content would be boring at best.
However, I just attended a webinar hosted by the investment firm Eventide that I found absolutely outstanding. It’s just under an hour long but it really does an incredible job of outlining the majority of the major factors in play in the economy today. I found it to be balanced and fair, thorough and engaging, without being boring (at least for me 😉). My position remains unmoved… stay the course and invest based on your goals… not whatever the news is selling, the talking heads are spouting, or the pundits are spewing. But I also want to make sure to arm you with useful information to stay informed of what is happening in this rapidly evolving world. So, there’s a resource if you want it.
Number 3: I’m thrilled to share an update on the incredible work of Hope Project International, a cause close to my heart and one that Intentional Wealth has proudly supported as a title sponsor for several years through our annual December golf tournament.
Hope Project transforms lives in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Myanmar, Thailand, and Ethiopia by providing children and families with essential nutrition, education, shelter, and spiritual development. Having personally witnessed their efforts in Guatemala, I can attest to the profound, life-changing impact of their work.
Their achievements are remarkable … in 2024 …
- Over 132,000 meals provided to those in need (about 11,000 a month)
- Hundreds of children equipped with uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies.
- 57 homes built, housing more than 200 people.
Exciting news from their latest update: Hope Project can build a home for a family in need for just $1,000 this summer. Their ambitious goal is to construct 80 homes in 2025. I’ve attached their recent email with details about this opportunity for your review, should you wish to learn more.
