My friends, there are no facts about the future.
On one hand this is terrifying and on the other it is unbelievably exciting.
Just like you, I have no idea what will happen this year. We invest not because we know what will happen or because we have blind faith about the future, but because history leaves us no choice but to believe the future will have amazing developments and we as owners of the world’s best companies can profit from those developments.
10 years ago did you know that cars would be driving themselves without gasoline?
20 years ago did you know that the smartphone would completely change the way we live our lives?
30 years ago did you know that we would have people living in outer space?
40 years ago did you know that we would largely be a cashless society?
The future can be scarry, but I also believe that it will also be amazing. Having an opportunity to have an ownership stake in the companies that are changing the world is nothing short of incredible in my book!
Cures for some of the most dreaded diseases, tourist trips to the moon, artificial intelligence that will be mind-blowing … who knows what the future holds? But, I can’t imagine the future will be boring … fasten your seatbelts, the future is here.
As we are now in 2023 I look forward to continuing to provide insight, guidance and perspective in this ever-changing investing world. It is truly an honor to serve you!
