Good morning, happy Monday & happy Thanksgiving!

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Thessalonians 5:16-18

How stinking hard is that Bible passage to live out?  I know my immediate reaction to challenging circumstances is not to rejoice, but the Bible says “rejoice always.”  I most certainly don’t want to be thankful when life is punching me in the gut, but the Bible says “give thanks in all circumstances.”  This passage says it’s God’s will for us to “pray continually” even when I would much rather complain, gossip, argue, deflect, or ignore.  God has a lot of work still to do with me 😊

I am so grateful for the Thanksgiving holiday because it gives us all an opportunity to pause and take stock in how blessed we truly are.

So, I know I’m a bit early on this … but I would like to invite you to join me with my new year’s resolution (I actually hate the term … I call it my 2022 commitment).  For every week of 2022 it is my commitment to hand write one thank you note every week.  I believe there is a battle in our minds and I am intentionally choosing to focus on the blessings over the challenges in the year ahead.

If this sounds like an activity you would like to purse with me I will gladly purchase the thank you cards and have them delivered to your home or you can pick them up from me at the office.  Just email me back “I’m in” and how you would like to get your hands on the cards (mail or swing by the office).

Thank you for allowing us to be your financial planning team … I am blessed beyond measure to have such incredible clients who I also get to call friends.

Happy Thanksgiving!
